Launching the 6th Arab Civil Society Forum for Children with the participation of 16 Arab countries at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Launching the First Arab Study on the Readiness of Arab Children for the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond
The Forum discusses the roles, responsibilities and values of Arab civil society for childhood in light of the current changes
On Tuesday morning, February 13, 2024, the activities of the 6th Arab Civil Society Forum for Children (the Forum) will begin under the slogan “The Empowerment of Arab Children for the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond”, which is held in partnership between the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD), the League of Arab States (LAS), the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), at the headquarters of BA in Alexandria, Egypt.
The Forum will be opened by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of ACCD and AGFUND, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazala, Assistant Secretary General of LAS and Head of the Social Affairs Sector, and H.E. Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, in the presence of H.H. Princess Sora bint Saud, and a number of public figures, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of national mechanisms concerned with childhood, experts, specialists and media professionals from 16 Arab countries.
The Forum will be held on February 13-14, 2024, under the auspices of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of ACCD and AGFUND, H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of LAS and H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA. The activities of the Forum will include launching the first Arab field exploratory Study entitled: “The Readiness of Arab Children for the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond”, in addition to more than 10 scientific sessions on the status of Arab civil society for childhood in light of current changes and challenges.
