ACCD publishes the 47th Issue of “Khatwa” Magazine in its interactive form
The Profile of the new Issue tackles the topic of children and theater
Dr. Hassan Al-Bilawi, Secretary General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) and the General Supervisor of “Khatwa” Magazine, said: “The 47th Issue of this Magazine has been published in its advanced interactive form, which contributes to expanding the base of accessibility, benefit and interaction”.
Dr. Al-Bilawi added: “In addition to a group of articles, experiences, reviews, activities and the story, this Issue includes a special Profile on the topic of children’s theater that is considered a continuation of the Profile of the previous Issue (46). The Profile of the new Issue includes a number of articles that tackle the relationship between theater and our children at an early age, confirming by research and application that although theater is the oldest form of the arts, it still can bring enjoyment and learning, as well as it can be a successful means ofdeveloping a child’s personality in his early years, throughout using the theater’s attractive tools and the modern and advanced techniques”.
The Profile of this Issue (47), on “children and theater”, includes a number of topics and articles entitled: “Include theater in the school curricula” written by Dr. Asmaa Abu Zaid, an Instructor at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University; “Theater is a psychiatrist using pleasure and psychodrama” written by Dr. Badr Al-Dahani, a Researcher at Ibn Tofail University in Morocco; “Theater is the solution if your kids are shy, angry or aggressive” written by Dr. Rehab Ahmed Shawky, an Instructor at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University; “Teach your children creativity and self-confidence through theater” written by Dr. Heba Saber Shaker Allam, Professor of Education at Alexandria University; and “Children’s theater is play, entertainment and education” written by Dr. Hend Mahmoud Hegazy, Faculty of Education, Damanhour University.
The Issue also includes various articles: “Mental illness... heavy inheritance” written by the Researcher Dr. Sanaa El-Gamal; “Children and technology addiction” written by Dr. Khaled Salah Hanafi, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University; “Are you a digital citizen?” written by Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Khair, a Professor at the Academy of Arts; “A three-dimensional plan to make an autistic child love school” written by the Moroccan Researcher Dr. Ahmed Sawalem; and “Digitalization is a wider window on children’s literature” written by Dr. Bakhita Hamid Ibrahim, an Instructor of Children’s Literature at the South Valley University.
In addition, the Issue has included a number of experiences entitled: “Dialogue is the first step on the path to correcting the imbalance of roles in the family” written by Dr. Nadia Al-Nashar, a Writer and Media Professional; and “Arab experiences confirm children with disabilities’ right to go to school” written by the Researcher Naglaa Maamoun.
“Khatwa” Magazine also presents an activity in the form of a video entitled “Make...Play...Learn (Paper Dolls)”, prepared and implemented by the Yemeni Artist Saddam Al-Adla, edited and directed by Ola Mustafa. In addition, there is an animated video story entitled “The Migration of Water” by the Writer Hani Qadri, drawn by Yasmine Youssef, animated by Ahmed Ammar, and voiced by RaniaMansour, and a gift poster entitled “Song of the months” by the Writer Samah Abdullah.
In this Issue, the Magazine’s Boards mourned the late Professor Dr. Shibl Badran, Head of the Magazine’s Scientific Committee, who passed away a short time ago, noting that the deceased was always supportive and cooperative with the Magazine. He was also an academic professor and had an extended scientific and educational journey, and his biography will remain alive through his academic and education legacy that will be a useful knowledge for educational circles in Egypt and the Arab world.
It is noteworthy that “Khatwa” is a scientific Magazine, issued by ACCD and specialized in early childhood stage (from 0 to 8 years old), which has advisory, scientific and editorial boards that include an elite group of Arab experts in the fields of childhood and development. “Khatwa” seeks to disseminate enlightened educational thought among practitioners and those concerned with the early childhood stage and develop positive trends for children’s upbringing in the Arab world, according to a developmental rights-based approach in light of the requirements of the knowledge society. The Profile of the next Issue (48) of the Magazine is devoted to the topic of “Children and the Environment”. The Magazine welcomes to publish the articles and experiences of educational practitioners (parents, teachers and those interested in childhood in our Arab world), in an endeavor to raise the awareness of the Arab family regarding childhood issues.
