The Inclusion of Arab Children with Disabilities in Education and Society

The Project of Early Detection and Intervention among Stakeholders Concerned with Children with Disabilities within the Context of Scientific Advancement and Technological Progress  

The Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) is working on implementing numerous projects, programs and activities to promote the rights of children with disabilities, based on its accumulated experience in applying a number of projects and interventions seeking to raising awareness on the issues of children with disabilities, through drafting guiding and training manuals, preparing qualified cadres and producing awareness-raising materials.  
 
ACCD is implementing this Project, which aims at developing the knowledge, skills, awareness and positive beliefs of stakeholders concerned with children with disabilities in Arab countries, in order to enable them to use strategies, programs, advanced technology and its applications in early detection of disability, and early intervention to prevent it or limit its effects.

This Project seeks to prepare the following: 
 
  • Guiding Manual for Capacity Development for Early Detection and Intervention among Stakeholders Concerned with Children with Disabilities.  
  • Training Manual for Parents and Teachers to Develop their Skills of Early Detection of Disability and Participation in Early Intervention. 
  • An Analytical Study on the Culture of Early Intervention in its Comprehensive Concept, Practices and Challenges in the Arab Countries.  
  • E-Training Program.  
  • A Package of Awareness-raising Materials: Videos and Children's Stories.
